Maxwell's Paw Pet Sitting, Bakery & Gifts
About “Aunt” Terri

I love to stay home! It’s why I choose to work from home, where I can be close to my pet family, around the clock. Working with pets and pet products has been a wonderful and rewarding career for me. One day I hope to have a retail gift shop to accompany the online gift store.

Perth Amboy, NJ is where I was born and raised and lived until graduating high school in 1969. I have lived out West between AZ and CA since 1970, with the exception of two very brief relocations East. I’ve discovered I am a desert dweller at heart and the western weather is the best climate for the type of service I provide.

Currently, I am focused on developing a product line of healthy pet treats and a line of retail items for pets and their owners! At present I have one dog treat recipe available for sale.

I hope to hear from you, whether it be to contract with me to care for your family pets or to place an order for treats. Love & Licks!

Welcome to Maxwell's Paw Pet Sitting

Pioneer pet sitting service in Lake Havasu City. Established in 1991.  Have cared for more than 2,000 pets in over 450 client homes.  I am Red Cross certified for canine/feline EMS and CPR.

Since 1991 Maxwell’s Paw has been providing domestic pet care in clients’ homes. Our service was in operation in Lake Havasu City, AZ until May of 2006.  A brief relocation to Warren County, PA did not prove profitable, plus we missed the desert climate, our desert clients, friends and business colleagues, so back to AZ we came in March 2008!

How we got our name

The business name was chosen to honor my Cocker Spaniel, Sir Maxwell Von Smart. Although he was a handsome purebred, he was neutered, never to sire any offspring.

This choice later proved prudent, as his entire litter eventually developed Epilepsy. Maxwell managed to live a long & mostly healthy life, losing a brief battle with liver disease.

Maxwell inspired the service, as I could never bear to place him in a traditional kennel setting, when I needed to be away.

Maxwell’s obsessions in life were his tennis ball(s), romping with step-sibling, Delilah  (passed in 2004), promptly at 7PM and tormenting Skeesix (our cat), at every turn. Skeesix passed in 2009.
